Welcome to the electrifying world of Highbury tournaments! Whether you're battling in EA FC showdowns, clashing in Tekken, slashing in Beat Saber VR, or strategizing in Pavlov, our events are designed for fair play, maximum hype, and real rewards. Cash prizes per event, with pro scouting for the Clock End Elite Team.By registering or participating, you agree to these Rules. Violations may result in disqualification, bans, or forfeiture of prizes. Highbury staff decisions are final.1. General Tournament Information
  • Events: Weekly Fridays (EA FC/Cod main), Saturdays (Tekken/Rocket League/VR), Sundays (Chill Cups). Specials: Monthly Majors, Birthdays, Corporates.
  • Eligibility: Ages 13+ (under 18 needs guardian consent). Open to all skill levels unless specified (e.g., Elite only).
  • Format: Single/Double Elimination brackets (announced at check-in). 8–32 players/bracket.
  • Duration: 2–6 hours. Late arrivals forfeit matches.
  • Venue: Highbury Gaming Experience, Opposite Naivas Utawala, Eastern Bypass Road.
  • Entry Fee: KES 300–1,000 (includes lounge access). Free for Clock End members.
2. Registration Process (Step-by-Step)
  1. Pre-Register Online: Visit highburygaming.co.ke/tournaments or WhatsApp +254 786-344-010. Provide name, age, game ID (e.g., EA FC username), contact, and pay via M-Pesa.
  2. Confirmation: Receive bracket spot within 24 hours (email/SMS).
  3. Check-In: Arrive 30 mins early. Bring ID, pay balance if any, sign waiver.
  4. Seeding: Based on pre-reg order + prior Highbury results (top seeds get byes).
  5. No-Shows: Forfeit after 10 mins; replaced by alternates.
Max Capacity: First-come, first-served. Late reg at door if spots available (+KES 200 fee).3. Tournament Format & Structure
  • Brackets: Posted on screens/site 15 mins pre-start. Single Elimination for speed; Double for Majors.
  • Match Length: Best of 3 (BO3) for pools/quarters; BO5 semis/finals (except VR BO1).
  • Station Assignment: Random/paired by staff. Switch only for technical issues.
  • Breaks: 5 mins between matches; 15 mins finals.
  • Byes: Top seeds advance automatically.
Game-Specific Formats:

4. Match Rules & Gameplay
  • Controllers/Setup: Use Highbury-provided gear (PS5 DualSense, VR headsets). No personal devices unless approved (extra fee).
  • Pause: Only for technical issues (max 5 mins). Coaching banned during matches.
  • Timeouts: 1 per match (30 secs) for strategy.
  • Forfeits: 2–0 if opponent quits/refuses.
  • VR Specific: Guardian mode on; no physical contact; hygiene wipes between users.
  • Cheating: Zero tolerance – account bans, prize forfeiture, lifetime exclusion.
Fair Play Oath: All players affirm no exploits, alt accounts, or external aids.5. Determining Winners & Scoring
  • Pool Stage: Round-robin or Swiss (top 50% advance). Ties broken by: 1) Head-to-head, 2) Game differential, 3) Total goals/points.
  • Bracket Stage: Win matches to advance. Grand Finals: BO5 (or BO7 Majors).
  • VR High Score: Highest score/time across qualifiers; ties by replay.
  • Official Results: Posted live on screens/site. Disputes within 10 mins.
  • Podium: 1st, 2nd, 3rd announced with photos/videos for socials.
Tiebreakers (All Games):
  1. Head-to-head result.
  2. Total kills/goals/points.
  3. Sudden-death overtime (1 life/map).
  4. Staff coin flip.
6. Prizes & Payouts
  • Typical Breakdown(Pool): 1st: 50%, 2nd: 25%, 3rd: 15%, 4th: 10%.
  • Additional: Free merch (jerseys, hoodies), Clock End badges, pro scouting invites.
  • Payout: Cash via M-Pesa immediately post-finals (ID verified).
  • Taxes: Winners responsible for any withholding tax (KES 5K+ prizes).
7. Code of Conduct
  • Respect all players, staff, and spectators. No toxicity, harassment, or discrimination.
  • No gambling, alcohol, drugs, or weapons.
  • Dress code: Clean, no offensive graphics.
  • Violations: Warning → Match forfeit → Event ban → Lifetime ban.
8. Disputes & Appeals
  • Report issues to Tournament Director immediately.
  • Appeals reviewed by panel (Director + 2 staff) within 15 mins.
  • Final decision binding; no refunds.
9. Health, Safety & Liability
  • Follow COVID/Health guidelines (masks optional; sanitisers provided).
  • VR waiver signed; stop if unwell.
  • Highbury not liable for injuries/losses except gross negligence.
